Research and writing is a deeply interrelated process and should not be approached as separate processes. This session will explore models for theological libraries to expand their mission and practices in the writing aspect of research and writing including developing strong relationships with writing centers, promoting scholarly communications and formation, and providing writing support for students. It will also develop approaches for librarians to teach / model theological writing to graduate students. This workshop would draw upon my upcoming book Expressing Theology (Cascade Books), my experience of teaching classes of writing theology at Ecumenical Theological Seminary and St. Thomas University, and my 14 years of experience directing academic libraries.
