Chromebooks are a viable and low cost alternative to PCs for circulating laptops in an academic library setting. This poster will cover the benefits of Chromebooks versus those of other laptop options, the design of the Chromebook lending program at Hood Theological Seminary, and an assessment of the first year of that program. Other librarians will be able to learn more about the possibilities offered by Chromebooks and make an informed decision about adding them to their library collection.
